- For the first time, consumers will be able to connect in real-time around individual products whether they are shopping online or in physical stores
- SCROBLE has launched the “PRODUCT LIVE CHAT” feature within its ongoing open beta programme in Luxembourg as part of its mission to provide shoppers with an immersive and connected in-store product experience
Luxembourg, 15.07.2022 – Next-gen fashion product experience app SCROBLE today launched world-first ‘PRODUCT LIVE CHAT’ feature, allowing in-store consumers and brands to connect in real-time around individual products. It is a one-of-a-kind feature, and provides shoppers with unprecedented access to instant product information, peer-to-peer feedback and style-matching tools whether they are shopping online or in physical stores.
For brands, it is the final part of the jigsaw that will bring them complete, 360-degree insight into the customer journey across both digital and ‘real world’ shopping experiences. Up until now, brands have only been able to access a tiny fraction of the potential insights generated when shoppers are making online purchases, and have not been able to connect with them at all while they are browsing real stores or simply talking to one another about the items they are interested in.
SCROBLE connects brands instantly with consumers, allowing them to leverage personalisation, better services, and new insights for future trends that will lead to better production decisions. Ultimately, these insights can lead to reduced waste and improved sustainability.
Consumers have always valued the physical aspects of shopping: being able to see, touch, and try on individual fashion items. Now, using the SCROBLE app, they can simply scan a QR code to instantly access product information, interact with the brand and other users, and even pair products with other items to make bespoke ‘sets’.
“Capturing reliable consumer insights has always been the goal for fashion brands,” says SCROBLE Founder and CEO Anna Salewski. “But up until now this has only been possible in a wider format for online consumer behaviour, and the data has been based largely on sales, rather than genuine customer sentiment and feedback. 60 – 80% of consumers still shop in real stores, so it is crucial for brands to be able to capture the insights delivered throughout the customer journey to personalise their services and adjust their production strategy.”
There are wider implications, too. Fashion has long been one of the most damaging industries to the environment. It is widely acknowledged that more than half the fashion items produced globally are never sold, as a result of uncertainties around trend prediction and customer demand. By using SCROBLE, brands can eliminate overproduction and optimize supply chains by gaining greater insight into what their customers really want.
SCROBLE has just launched its open beta version in Luxembourg, working and experimenting with more than 50 fashion brands, and demonstrating fast growth in a small market with over 5000 users already. The new PRODUCT LIVE CHAT feature launched today will allow stakeholders taking part in the project to communicate in real-time about individual products. For consumers, this adds a sense of community to their shopping experience, while the information delivered to brands is completely anonymised ensuring customers’ personal data is protected.
“I believe in a future of connected and immersive product experiences where only sales-oriented retail will not exist anymore. That’s why with our app, the sale is never the primary goal,” says SCROBLE Founder and CEO, Anna Salewski. “It is about making shopping more joyful and efficient by connecting products, brands and users instantly, creating a new community where shoppers can learn more about the items they are interested in, and design their purchase process themselves without losing a track of what they have previously found or liked. Brands are then able to harness this insights and direct customer connection to better understand demand and drive more sustainable practices. We need to think about a different future for retail, shifting the priority from pure sales to creating unique experiences around products and brands. SCROBLE is a technology that the whole fashion ecosystem can embrace.”
The success of the Luxembourg project has meant SCROBLE is now opening the next stage into the European launch phase onboarding selected brands from all over the world to continue changing the face of fashion.
